New Hot Water Cylinder Plymouth

Domestic & Commercial Hot Water Cylinder Installation in Plymouth

For professional, Domestic or Commercial Hot Water Cylinder Installation in Plymouth, and surrounding areas of Devon & Cornwall, contact Redfern Heat Pumps. We are able to fit both direct unvented or indirect hot water cylinders, and heat pump cylinders, depending upon your requirements/usage.

Replacing a Hot Water Cylinder

If you are having a direct, unvented cylinder fitted, it will be fairly quick to install and will give you the benefit of mains pressure hot water, without the need for a cumbersome tank taking up room in your loft space.  Indirect Hot Water Cylinders are fitted if we are also installing an external heat source such as a Boiler.  However, should you only be using a cylinder immersion element to heat your hot water, a direct, unvented cylinder would suffice.  Our experienced, qualified Heating Engineers can advise you as to which system is best for your property/business.

Redfern Heat Pumps will notify Building Regulations about your unvented Hot Water Cylinder installation, and you will receive a certificate to prove it has been installed to the required standard by a suitably qualified engineer.

WHY CHOOSE US?

Hot Water Cylinders in Plymouth

You should always choose a suitable location for your cylinder.  Our Heating Engineers can suggest the best place, as unvented cylinders and their pipework can require a fair amount of space.  Slimline cylinders can be fitted, however, these will be taller.  Unvented cylinders can save money on water heating, due to you being in control of when they are switched on and off.

During a Heat Pump Installation at your property/business, any hot water cylinder would need to be upgraded to a Heat Pump Cylinder.  This contains a much larger heating coil, allowing for improved heat transfer, at much lower temperatures, and therefore, will be slightly larger than one fitted with a boiler.  It is recommended that you charge Heat Pump Hot Water Cylinders overnight, to reduce your energy bills.
